Kids Running Arizona Race Series

$50 per child for entire 4-race series OR

$20 per child for single races

Meeting dates and times:

Saturdays 9 AM - noon

October 14, 21, 28 November 4

Age groups are as follows:

2-3 year olds: 40 yd dash

Pre-K 4-5 year olds: 60m

Kindergarten: 400m dash

First Grade: 400m dash

Grade 2-3: 800m run

Grade 4-5: 1500m or 1 mile run

Parents: 1500m or 1 mile run

You may enter whole series or single races. 

Medals for the top 3.

9:17 AM 2nd call kids ages 2-3 40 yd dash. Everyone head to the start line

9:20 AM Race Start Kids ages 2-3 40 yd dash, boys and girls together

9:24 AM Awards ceremony for kids ages 2-3 40 yd dash, Girls then Boys

9:25 AM 1st call kids ages 4-5 60m dash, 

9:27 AM 2nd call kids ages 4-5 60m dash, Everyone head to start line

9:30 AM Race Start Kids ages 4-5 60m dash, boys and girls together

9:32 AM Awards Ceremony Kids PreK ages 4-5 60m dash, Girls then Boys, Kindergarten, First Grade

9:34 AM 1st call Kids Kindergarten and First Grade 400m and Kids Grade 2-3 800m. Girls and Boys

9:36 AM 2nd call Kids Kindergarten and First Grade 400m and Kids Grade 2-3 800m.  Girls and Boys. Everyone head to start line

9:40 AM Race Start Kids Kindergarten and First Grade 400m. Two divisions and both genders together. Run Grade 2-3 800m together with them. First Grade & Kinder do 1 lap, Grade 2-3 does 2 laps.

9:50 AM Awards ceremony for Kindergarten, Girls then Boys, followed by First Grade, Girls then Boys, followed by Grade 2-3, Girls then Boys

9:50 AM 1st call Grade 4-5, Grade 6-8, Parents 1500m, report to start line. All 3 divisions and both genders will run together

9:54 AM 2nd call Grade 4-5, 6-8, Parents 1500m. Final race of the day

10:00 AM Race Start Grade 4-5, 6-8, Parents 1500m

10:15 AM Awards ceremony Grade 4-5 Division, Girls then Boys, Grade 6-8 Division, Girls then Boys, then Open/parents (if any)

10:20 AM Closing announcements and info for next time.

10:30 AM Course take-down.

*Ages 10 & up

Coached practice sessions for kids ages 10 & up, to prepare for the races. 

Must sign up in advance for race series and this training. 

Note: This option is not yet available for athletes under age 10.
